Note: you can use the interactive model of the main page above, to get a preliminary idea of what interacting with the real main page of the DC Password Manager is like.

Distinguishing edit mode from read mode

When you logon to the DC Password Manager, you enter the main page of the application in default / read mode. From this point, you can navigate your password records, look up information in them, as well as copy data from the various fields to the clipboard, to transfer information to other applications.
You can also enter edit mode, to create new records or edit existing records. Whenever you enter edit mode, the Image edit icon appears at the top, right of the main page. Conversely, whenever you exit edit mode, the edit icon disappears. (You exit edit mode, by saving the record that you are editing, or clearing the changes you made to your record. See the two links immediately above, for more information.)

(Note: if you click on the Add New Record or Edit Record button on the interactive main page above, you can see how the app goes into edit mode, demarked by the edit icon, shown near the top, right of the main page. If you click on the Save Record button, or the Clear Changes button, the main page is returned to its default / read mode, demarked by the disappearance of the edit icon.)
